Love Shapes Album

I have the Love Shapes Album for the February 17th class finished, except we are waiting for some ordered ribbon to arrive. The Love Shapes Album uses the new and sophisticated Echo Park Be Mine Collection. This album would be great for those we love, reasons I love you or even wedding. This class is scheduled for February 17th the class fee will be $22

Winter Shapes Album

The Winter Shapes Album class sample is finished.

This class will be Jan 20th the fee will be $25

The sample will be in the store for viewing after Christmas.

Christmas Shapes Album

I have the Christmas Shapes Album finished. The sample album will be in the store starting Tuesday October 26th. Mark your calendar class dates have been set. I am going to hold 2 classes to allow more people to get in on this very cute holiday album. Classes will be November 11th and December 2nd from 6:30 - 9 pm. at Memories on Fifth in Coralville. (These are 2 seperate classes so you only need to sign up for one or the other.) Class fee is $30. Call or stop by Memories on Fifth to sign up. I understand the class is now in the stores computer so you can sign up anytime.  I will not be making more kits when the classes are full. There is a lot of detail in this album and it requires alot of my time to make your class easy, so there is no time to make more than what I have planned.

Terri, notice I got the train in as you suggested.

I am hoping to get better pictures to replace these but I figures I would start with these.

Halloween Shapes Album

I would like to apologize for not having my Halloween album done when the Memories on Fifth newsletter came out last week. I have been having issues with my cricut which (I hope have now been resolved) so it has impeeded my progress. But, I finally have it finished and it will be in the store on Tuesday (Sept 14). So that means you have exactly one month to sign up for this very cute album class.

School Theme Shapes Album

Here is the School Album! This class will be held at Memories on Fifth on September 23, 2010 at 6:30. Class fee is $25. Everything is precut so all you have to do is glue it together and add your pictures. Skill level for this class is beginner to advanced. Bring your wet glue, a sanding tool and an ink pad. I used a Color Box cat eye ink pad, color: Smoke Blue, you can use whatever color you'd like. You might also want to bring a black or brown paint pen to do the chipboard edges.

This album is great for all those school photos. Use it to highlight a single year, your childs grade school years, or even K - 12. There is even a place for your child to write so you can save that childhood penmanship forever.
Please wait until the Memories on Fifth newsletter comes out before you sign up for the class as it won't be in the stores computer prior to that. As with all my classes additional kits can not be made once the class is full so if you want this album sign up early.

Cricut Design Studio/Gypsy Class update

Would you like to know more about Design Studio or the Gypsy? Do you have the Design Studio program or a Gypsy but just don’t know what all it can do? Would you just like to know the difference between the two? Come to this beginner’s class and learn all about Design Studio and the Gypsy. Bring your laptop with the Design Studio downloaded if you don’t own it just download the free program at cricut.com. Or bring your Gypsy with the battery fully charged. You won’t need your Cricut for this class. If you just want to find out what it is all about and don’t have a laptop or a gypsy that’s ok too. You will learn how to design the project you will be taking home but Ila will have it pre-cut for you. No kits for this class you must attend, as this class is about the information you will learn. Questions during class are encouraged.

Class will be held at Memories on Fifth September 16, 2010 at 6:30 the class fee is $14.00

Be sure to update your program as well as your fonts. Even if you are using the free trial Design Studio you still need to do the upgrades. Leave the Design Studio program closed for updates. Cricut Design Studio/Gypsy Class

As many of you know I design my shapes albums with the Cricut Design Studio software. I have been leaning the Gypsy and will be having a beginners class on the Cricut Design Studio and Gypsy. I do not have a solid date set so continue to watch my blog and watch for it in the next Memories on Fifth newsletter.
If this class goes well and there is enough interest I will do a level 2 class to get you more information of the features available on Cricut Design Studio/Gypsy. The follwing is a description of the class:

Thank You all for making my class a big success

I would like to thank the gals for being patient and understanding with the Hiding Spots class. It was a long class and I hope you all felt it was worth the extra time.
One of you gals that got a kit might be short embellishments. I seem to have extra but I could have counted wrong when I made up the kit too. So if you don't have a pink bow  or colored dew drops in your kit please contact me so I can get them to you. And if you need help putting your album together let me know and I will help you. Please don't be afraid to ask for help. I would rather help you than have you not finish the album  or worse make mistakes and then have it not work.

Zoo Animals Shapes Album 2

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!

This is the Zoo Animals Shapes Album 2 it is just a little bit different. I used the same album template and the same paper line and stickers. The papers are on different pages and I used a piece of paper that I didn't use in the first book. Class fee is $25 and will be held on July 22nd at Memories on Fifth, call the store to sign up for this class. It will sell out so sign up early. There will not be additional kits once the class is full and this class will not be repeated.

New class dates have been set

For all of you eager to sign up for the next classes. I have dates set and the samples are almost finished. I will post pictures of the samples when I get them finished so keep watch here and then view them in person at the store. Hopefully I will have them in the store next Tuesday, June 28th.
Zoo Animal Shapes Album 2 will be July 22nd at 6:30 and the cost wil be $25
Hiding Spots Album will be July 29th at 6:30 and the cost wil be $35 This album is a bit different. While it is still a shapes album it does not go together the same way. So it is highly recomended that you take the class instead of just getting a kit because there will not be written instructions.
And Road Trip Album will be August 12th at 6:30 and the cost wil be $20

Wedding Shapes Album

Once again my class has sold out and then some.

Wedding Shapes Album

My Wedding Shapes Album class on June 17th is almost sold out. The last time I checked there were only 2 spots left. There will not be a repeat of this class and there will not be more available when the class is sold out. So if you haven't signed up but want to have this album sign up soon.
A Photo of the album was posted in previous blog. Really the photos don't do this album justice you need to see it in person.

If you are coming to class please bring a brayer or bone folder if you have one to help smooth out the paper.
Also the papers for this album are not cardstock weight so they have a tendency to wrinkle so I highly recommend that you use Zip Dry adhesive because it doesn't get the paper wet so it doesn't wrinkle.
I hope to see all your smiling faces soon.

I want to thank all of you that signed up for my Zoo Animals Shape Album class. And I would like to thank those that showed interest but did not get signed up. I apologize that I could not get everyone in that wanted to take the class. Because there were so many that wanted to take this class but couldn't I am going to try to have a "Zoo Animals Album 2" class in July. So keep watch here and make sure to check the Memories on Fifth July/August newsletter. But remember this will be the last time this class will be offered so sign up as soon as a date is set this class will sell out. The number of albums available is limited and additional albums or kits can not be added.
Keep in mind this class being offered a second time is a rarity and it is not likely that other classes will be offered a second time. Remember to sign up early for my shape album classes as they are likely to sell out.

Wedding Shapes Album

I finally got pictures of the Wedding Shapes Album I did for my June 17th class at Memories on Fifth.
Check out the album at the store in the class samples.

I created this very cute and unique Wedding Shape Album using neutral colors so it will work with any wedding color scheme. This album is perfect as a wedding gift or for your own wedding pictures. Everything is pre-cut, so all you have to do is glue it together, embellish it, and add your pictures!

I put photos in this album. It is my wedding! We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary.

Each month I will have a different themed shapes album. This is the current line up.
May 13th will be Zoo Animals Shapes Album.
June 17th will be a Wedding Album
July will be a Summer Album
August will be a Road Trip Album
September will be a School Album
October will be a Halloween Album
Each album will be different shapes for whatever the theme is and we will use the most curent paper and stickers. Everything will be cut and all you have to do is assemble the album then embellish and add your pictures. The albums are even suitable to give to your non-scrapbook friends (non-scrapbook friends???)
to add their own pictures. They make great gifts too.

Everything is pre-cut, so all you have to do is glue it together, bind it, embellish it with the sticker sheet included in your class kit, and add your pictures!
